Since each internet connection is coming from a real user, it is therefore verified data, which solves the issue of transmitting AI which has being trained on falsified information or proxy connections, an act which can introduce purposeful or accidental bias into datasets. Hence, the verified connection from Grass then allows AI companies to use these unused internet connections to scrape the internet and train their models. In addition, through Grasses’ proprietary layer 2 blockchain technology, AI developers will themselves be able to verify the origin of all training data, further preventing data poisoning and strengthening the fight against AI misinformation . Because of this, Grass refer to themselves as “The Data layer of AI”
